Microsoft SQL has increased the opportunities for development of Forecast 5, such as allowing formatted access to the Forecast 5 data to build your own reports, reliable backup routines and more!
9. Admin Pack – Add an extra layer of security to your forecasts. With the Admin Pack, you have the ability to control the status of a forecast, group users into defined departments and permit or deny group to view certain forecasts. 13. Report Preview – With our snapshot report preview, you can effortlessly get an overview of how your budget is looking! No need to move from tab to tab, simply click the forecast name from the Record Tree, click Show/Refresh and voila! Your Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet report previews are ready!

17. User Assumptions – We know that a lot of budgets require figures that are built on assumptions and expectations and when preparing a budget for your client, board or boss, you want to make sure they understand this. Introducing the Forecast 5 assumptions record. Record your assumptions, incorporate them into your model and report them using the Assumptions schedule. No more explanations required!
18. Future Development – As Sage Winforecasts development ceased in 2013, there has been no improvements, enhancements or developments for 5 years. Forecast 5 is continuously improving and adding new features. We are moving towards a cloud version, integrations to more financial packages, daily cashflow and more! 19. Folders – Take your budgets to the next level. With the introduction of folders, you can produce budgets in as much detail as you need. By creating folders in your sections, you can segregate data into cost centres or regions and produce subtotals for each folder! And with up to 5 levels of folders, your budgets can now fit your specific needs.
20. Regions Specific Set up – When creating a new forecast in Forecast 5, you are prompted to choose a country/region from the current options of New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Scotland and United States. With region specific set up, your currency, GST rates, pension schemes, etc. are defined based on the country you select, saving you time when preparing your budgets!
